Sweetwater District Scouting Roundtable
|
Scout Leader roundtables are held monthly on a district basis. Leaders from all levels of Scouting join for fun and
fellowship while learning new activities and gaining valuable information related to the Cub Scout theme, Webelos
activity badges and the many Boy Scout and Venturing opportunities for the coming months. There are also
opportunities for sharing ideas and activities with leaders from other packs, troops and crews.
Scouting roundtables are a form of supplemental training for volunteers at the pack and troop level. The objective
of roundtables is to give these leaders program ideas; information on policy, events, and training opportunities;
and an opportunity to share experiences and enjoy fun and fellowship with other Scouting leaders. The
roundtable commissioner and staff demonstrate elements of a model meeting that leaders may use as a pattern for
their own meetings. As a result of the roundtable experience, unit leaders will be inspired, motivated, and able to
provide a stronger program for their Cubs, Boy Scouts and Crews.
Held the Second Thursday of every month at the LDS Chapel on Chapel Hill Road at 7:00 PM
